Abstract #

Recommendation systems are among the promising aspects of machine learning that

have revolutionized information retrieval.

This thesis entitled “Delivery recommendation system based on route optimization” is

a synthesis of our final year project, carried out within the company SoftCentre, in order to

obtain the diploma of Data and Knowledge Engineer at the School of Information Sciences.

This thesis introduces the use of a set of “Machine Learning” technologies in the field

of recommendation systems .In particular our entire project aims to create a recommendation

system that provides deliverers with relevant request recommendations to deliver as well as

calculate the shortest path.

To achieve this objective, we studied the scientific literature related to the subject in

order to fully understand the problem and to identify possible solutions. Then we developed

an overall solution design that shows the process followed to arrive at a recommendation

system for deliverable requests.

The results of the recommendations obtained prove the capacity of artificial

intelligence and specifically machine learning to solve this type of problem.
